Type of Support

Overview

The Eco-Living Fund Grants are designed to transition people's everyday behaviors and the operational efficiency of buildings towards environmental sustainability. These grants support projects that not only enhance the eco-friendliness of specific sites but also aim to induce lasting changes in behaviors and practices at a wider scale. Key areas of interest include initiatives that can:

  • Achieve permanent improvements in environmental sustainability across numerous buildings.
  • Implement specific actions leading to measurable, sustainable living and performance.
  • Create exemplary models of positive environmental change for broader adoption.
  • Optionally, generate financial savings for individuals, businesses, or institutions.

Successful projects should address all of the first three criteria, showing potential for extensive impact per grant dollar. This includes, but is not limited to, projects enhancing energy and water efficiency on a large scale, promoting non-motorized transport, and influencing public policy towards sustainability goals.
