Through supporting various projects, the foundation seeks to alleviate financial burdens on taxpayers and government, and to create more opportunities for children.
The Chehalis Foundation's grant program focuses on funding civic and educational projects that benefit the city of Chehalis. Over the past 13 years, the foundation has raised over $12 million, supporting over 24 projects including the renovation of recreational parks, community pools, ballparks, buildings, street beautification efforts, and the enhancement of educational programs in schools. The foundation evaluates the success of its grants based on the positive impact each project has on the community.
