Champion Health Equity: Rapid Response Funding Opportunity: Advocacy

The mission of the Colorado Health Foundation is to improve the health of Coloradans. It operates on three cornerstones: serving Coloradans with less power, privilege, and income, especially prioritizing those of color; being informed by the community it aims to serve; and focusing all efforts towards creating health equity.

Type of Support

Overview

The Advocacy Rapid Response Funding supports short-term advocacy projects (three-to-nine months in length) aimed at ensuring Coloradans' interests and priorities are central in policy decisions impacting health equity. This grant program focuses on advocacy work supporting:

  • Equity in access to high-quality, comprehensive primary care.
  • Daily safe and convenient physical activity for children.
  • Social-emotional development and resilience in young children.
  • Access to resources for teens and young adults to support healthy minds.
  • Access for adults to local recovery resources for healthy minds and productive lives.
  • Sufficient access to affordable, nutritious food.
  • Access to affordable, safe, and high-quality housing.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis without a deadline and are reviewed for their alignment with the Foundation’s mission, including urgency, community impact, and advocacy focus on public policy at various governmental levels. Projects should demonstrate how they contribute to advancing health equity and community support, emphasizing activities that reflect the community’s interests and show engagement with impacted members.
