Overview

The Consultant Support Program, offered by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, provides short-term consultancy to non-profit organizations for capacity building with a special focus on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DE&I). It offers funding for a consultant to assist for a limited number of hours, covering ancillary expenses up to a total of $2,000. This program aims to help organizations with equity challenges, including through meetings, workshops, review and development of hiring practices, and team training sessions on DE&I. Projects with a larger scope and budget are also considered for support under this program.

  • Serving The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven’s twenty-town service area, including the towns of Ansonia, Bethany, Branford, Cheshire, Derby, East Haven, North Branford, North Haven, West Haven, Oxford, New Haven, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, Milford, Seymour, Shelton, Wallingford, Orange, Woodbridge
  • Can be a fully-funded project (up to $2,000) or used to supplement other funds as part of a larger project with a total budget not to exceed $5,000
  • Applicants may choose from a vetted list of consultants or engage their own consultant
  • Organizations may receive funding from this program one time in 12 months
  • Award will not impact eligibility for any other grant process offered by either Foundation
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal anti-discrimination laws on the basis of age, sex, religion, national origin, sexual preference
