The Iseminger Endowment for the Arts, established by Gordon and Trudy Iseminger in 2017, aims to support the arts across the region. Its mission focuses on providing exposure and access to artistic and cultural experiences that encourage artistic growth and creativity for individuals of all ages.
The Knight Fund Grant Program focuses on engaging students through innovation and connecting the University of North Dakota campus community with Downtown Grand Forks. It aims to promote civic innovation and robust engagement, aspiring to empower communities to thrive in a swiftly evolving world. The program encourages projects that inspire action among residents of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks towards building a stronger democracy and a prosperous future. It seeks investments in residents, immigrants, and entrepreneurs as drivers of economic growth, job creation, and neighborhood revitalization; places that are designed to accelerate talent and opportunity; and innovation in governance and civic capacity. The grant program prioritizes projects that can connect assets and people, attract and retain talent, foster economic integration, are sustainable, and leverage public and private partnerships. It evaluates potential investments based on their innovation, ability to accelerate learning and idea exchange, sustainability, and potential to enhance opportunity, economic mobility, and robust citizenship engagement.
