Type of Support

Overview

The St. Joseph Foundation, under the Community Foundation for the CSRA, provides grants to nonprofit organizations that positively impact health outcomes in the greater CSRA. Funded by a variety of donors, the grants aim to support nonprofits involved in health service education, services for the medically uninsured, and hospice and homeless healthcare services. The annual competitive grants process focuses on meeting the evolving healthcare needs of the CSRA community, guided by the motto, "would the nuns have rolled up their sleeves and done this work." Priority areas include supporting efforts that address pressing health challenges faced by individuals in the region.
