The Duff McDuff Green, Jr. Fund is committed to honoring the philanthropic legacy of Duff McDuff Green Jr. by supporting causes he valued profoundly: landscape preservation and fostering opportunities for children to engage in healthy outdoor activities.
The grant focuses on proposals that either promote recreation opportunities within the community, benefit the region's youth, or advance local historic/cultural preservation. For recreation, it covers increasing access to such opportunities, building or improving facilities, and offering training that encourages physical activity and outdoor experiences. Proposals should demonstrate a compelling local need, especially if they relate to research, education, or assessments in recreation. Youth-focused proposals should improve life quality through educational, athletic, academic, social, civic, or community-based initiatives. Historic/cultural preservation proposals should aim to safeguard significant cultural treasures, including the preservation of intellectual and cultural artifacts and historic buildings and sites.
