The Women's Giving Circle was established to create an enduring fund for supporting issues important to women in northeast Michigan. It aims to make a lasting difference for women through the collective contributions of both women and men from the service area and beyond.
The grant provided by the ICCF Board of Directors focuses on community improvement with a strong preference for projects addressing needs in education (such as parenting skills, STEM, entrepreneurship, business skills, and trade schools), human services (including mental health, child abuse prevention, and homelessness programs), workforce development (emphasizing the attraction or retention of quality employees and employers, along with providing training), and environmental protection (with a focus on Great Lakes education and protection, water quality, plastics reduction, and recycling programs). While grants are considered for all types of charitable programs, preference is given to those falling within the specified focus areas, particularly those benefiting Iosco County.
