Type of Support

Overview

The SisterFund Grants target advancement in several key areas for African American women and girls:

  • Education: Enhancing educational opportunities through advocacy, systemic reform, educator training, tutoring, life coaching, and exposing students to potential educational or career paths.
  • Leadership Development and Support: Offering coaching, mentoring, and training specifically for African-American female executives and CEOs of nonprofit organizations.
  • Workforce Development & Support: Supporting entrepreneurs, apprenticeship, and job skills training programs.
  • Empowerment: Focusing on social emotional development, building self-confidence, and promoting a positive self-concept among women and girls.
  • Health: Advocating for healthy lifestyles and equity in health care access and delivery.
