The Dyson Foundation is dedicated to supporting nonprofit organizations in the Mid-Hudson Valley region that focus on meeting basic human needs such as housing, family stability, youth development, healthcare access, food security, and other essential human services. It places particular emphasis on aiding those who are economically disadvantaged or marginalized.
The Mid-Hudson Valley Grantmaking Program, through general operating support grants, offers flexible funding to nonprofits in specific counties (Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, and Ulster) to assist with various human service needs. These unrestricted grants are aligned with the grantee’s fiscal year, emphasizing the importance of submitting an initial letter of inquiry ahead of time. The grant supports broad goals like enhancing family stability, improving access to healthcare, advancing youth development, ensuring housing stability, and increasing food security, with a spotlight on helping marginalized or economically disadvantaged populations.
