Ineligibility

Organizations that discriminate based on race, ancestry, color, age, familial status, disability, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, lawful sources of income, national origin, or any prohibited discriminatory practice
Organizations previously funded by the Women’s Giving Circle for two consecutive years (ineligible only for the third year)
Annual fundraising drives
Asset purchases not related to the proposed program
Capital campaigns
Debt reduction
Ongoing operating expenses or building funds
Political parties, candidates, or partisan activities
Programs with a religious focus
Scholarly research

Submission

Review Criteria

The Women's Giving Circle Fund prefers to support initiatives that:

  • Provide a straightforward and detailed description of the proposed program within the grant submission.
  • Align with the applying organization's core mission.
  • Benefit women and/or children in the greater Eau Claire region significantly.
  • Set specific, quantifiable objectives and incorporate a method for assessing and enhancing effective strategies.
  • Illustrate the continuation of the program's positive effects.
  • Offer unique services not already available through other entities within the community.
