The Foundation's mission focuses on improving the lives of older adults and caregivers in Dutchess, Putnam, and Westchester Counties, NY, by funding not-for-profit organizations and local government programs that address their needs.
The grant program focuses on initiatives that benefit older adults and caregivers, aiming to address issues such as food insecurity, home-based care services, and support for caregivers. It seeks to fund projects that enhance safety, security, prevent elder abuse, and offer vital services like social work, case management, and transportation solutions for older adults and their aides. Grants are awarded three times annually, with organizations invited to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) continuously to explore potential funding opportunities. These efforts underscore the Foundation's commitment to supporting the well-being of elderly community members and their caregivers in select New York counties.
Preference is granted to initiatives targeting the foundational needs of seniors and their caregivers. Additionally, special consideration is given to innovative projects and programs, partnerships, and entities that have not received funding from us before.
