Jamie’s Smiles’ mission is to supply supplemental funding to outstanding programs that benefit special needs children through grants and other financial means.
The grant program by the Four County Community Foundation aims to support progressive ideas and programs in education, health, community development, and youth and adult services. Grants are available to nonprofit organizations, public schools, and governmental agencies for a wide range of charitable purposes within the covered communities, including northern Macomb County. Special emphasis is placed on projects that promote the health and well-being of seniors and youth (including health, nutrition, family counseling, and smoking/vaping prevention), educational projects in classrooms and in the field, and youth services that address specific challenges identified in a Needs Assessment Survey. They also offer the GRANT TANK program, providing grants for student-written/driven projects benefiting youth, prioritizing initiatives that encourage young people's involvement in self-improvement and community and school enhancement.
Four County Community Foundation prioritizes the following aspects: Projects that address needs not sufficiently covered by current community offerings. Projects that encourage the mobilization of additional funds and community assets. Projects aimed at fostering partnerships and joint efforts among organizations.
