The Gambrill Foundation's mission is to award grants supporting religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes. These grants aim to contribute to various causes, primarily within Anderson County, South Carolina, under the discretion of its Co-Trustees.
The Gambrill Foundation grants focus on supporting organizations that fulfil its broad goals across seven key areas: arts, culture, and humanities; education; environment and animals; health; human services; public/society benefit; and religion. Specifically targeting activities and initiatives within Anderson County, South Carolina, these grants are determined by the Co-Trustees' unrestricted discretion, aligning with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Preference will be afforded to educational institutions such as universities and colleges, as well as libraries and churches. Funding will favor capital or special project grants over those for general or operational needs. Additionally, grants that attract matching funds from alternative sources will be prioritized.
