Fundraising event sponsorships or creation of fundraising event collateral materials
Programs that create an indefinite, long-term commitment by the Grand Island Community Foundation
Requests for additional funding for projects that have already been approved and funded
Ongoing projects and programs without addressing funding for maintenance and operations
Incomplete requests

Review Criteria

The Grand Island Community Foundation is more likely to support initiatives that align with any of the criteria listed below:

  • Engage a wide portion of the community
  • Help individuals who are underserviced by current programs
  • Foster collaboration between entities and are established with input from various groups
  • Enhance the efficiency of the proposing organization
  • Support the grantee's long-term viability through matching donations and external financial support
  • Ensure programs are inclusive of people who are often overlooked or marginalized
  • Demonstrate backing through various forms of financial contributions and/or material support. Proposals seeking full funding for projects or programs will seldom receive approval from the Grand Island Community Foundation.
