Overview

The Teen Education Grant program addresses the gap in engaging Jewish programming for teens post-bar or bat mitzvah. It encourages community organizations to develop programs that engage teens in meaningful and fun ways, through informal, creative Jewish education and experiential learning. The grant offers up to 70% of the project's total cost, with a maximum of $10,000. It focuses on funding organizations that provide direct, impactful learning experiences for teens, excluding costs such as payroll taxes, bonuses, and benefits.

  • Located in Western Massachusetts (Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties) or Southern Vermont (Bennington and Windham counties)
  • Offer Jewish education programs for teens
  • Have a formal system of tracking program attendance
  • Hold at least four unique events or several recurring events during the grant period
  • Offer creative Jewish education or experiential learning
  • Focus on Jewish themes such as Tikkun Olam, Tzedakah, Jewish holidays, Jewish rituals, Culture, Spirituality, Israel

Ineligibility

Organizations aiming for recreational or entertainment-based programs or events
Organizations intending to use Rekindle Shabbat or Jewish Community grants for prohibited programming.
