Idaho Power’s Community Contributions

From Idaho Power

We care about the communities where we live and work, aiming to give back through financial donations, including contributions from both the company and its employees.

Type of Support

Overview

The grant program focuses on investing in the economic and social viability of communities served by IPC through financial and in-kind support. This ranges from support for capital fund drives, sponsorship of nonprofit events, to donations like retired company vehicles to emergency-response organizations. IPC outlines five primary categories for contributions:

  1. Health and Human Services - Supporting organizations and initiatives that provide essential care and services, focusing on hospitals, youth agencies, senior citizens, and local health organizations.
  2. Education - Prioritizing initiatives that ensure the availability of skilled, educated individuals and support academic research and excellence.
  3. Culture and Arts - Aiming to enrich community and employee lives through support for the arts, including orchestras, museums, and cultural programs.
  4. Civic and Community - Supporting organizations that aim to enhance community management, housing, conservation, and solution development for community issues.
  5. Environment and Recreation - Contributing to projects that promote environmental stewardship and expand recreation opportunities. Additionally, IPC accommodates requests that do not fit these categories but have a philanthropic purpose relevant to the company and communities. IPC commits to responding to contribution requests within a reasonable time frame, typically not exceeding 60 days from application submission.
