The JSJ Foundation, established in 1983, has invested over $7 million in diverse areas such as education, environment, humanities and arts, health, and human and social services. Committed to giving back where it's most needed, their mission includes supporting causes, programs, and organizations within the communities where their businesses operate, emphasizing local engagement and improvement.
The grant program led by the JSJ Foundation aims to support projects and organizations in the fields of education, humanities and arts, health, the environment, and human and social services. Specifically, it backs initiatives that (1) are located in the areas where JSJ employees and shareholders live, or (2) involve a JSJ employee in the charity or event. The JSJ Corporation Contributions Committee awards grants for project and event-specific needs on a quarterly basis, while the JSJ Foundation itself focuses on capital and operational grants with an annual review process. Grant applications must be submitted by November 1st each year.
