For over five decades, the Lintilhac Foundation has committed to fostering a sustainable and healthy Vermont where both human and natural communities flourish. Their mission revolves around empowering Vermonters to interact positively with their evolving environment through partnership and support of nonprofit endeavors.
The Lintilhac Foundation's grant program is designed to champion several key areas critical to Vermont's future: clean energy and climate change initiatives aiming to transition away from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources; water quality projects focused on cleanup and chemical removal efforts for safe water; forest health and biodiversity for climate resilience and ecological diversity; conservation and sustainable outdoor recreation to protect natural habitats and support rural economies; fostering healthy food systems for the well-being of communities and farms; preserving democracy through grassroots efforts to strengthen democratic systems; and advancing environmental science, particularly regarding Lake Champlain. Additionally, legacy giving prioritizes women’s reproductive health and media & civic engagement to reflect and educate on current issues and the public policy process.
