Type of Support

Overview

The Vineyard Fund for Board Development and Education focuses on strengthening non-profit and municipal organizations by supporting projects related to board development and education. The grant encourages applications for initiatives such as hiring consultants for board development, funding board retreats with ongoing follow-up, strategic planning, and improving fundraising effectiveness. It does not cover expenses for food and beverages, rental space, or board member travel. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and successful applicants must demonstrate board support for the proposed project through a Board Resolution. This grant program was established by a collaboration between the Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation and the Martha’s Vineyard Nonprofit Collaborative in 2016.
