Building upon the legacy of Mother Cabrini and the Catholic tradition, the Foundation is focused on healing the sick and caring for the poor. It supports programs meeting the unmet healthcare and healthcare-related needs of individuals, families, and communities throughout New York State.
The grant program by Mother Cabrini Health Foundation (MCHF) is designed to support comprehensive and equitable access to healthcare across every region of New York State, focusing on low-income and underserved populations. It aims to tackle a variety of barriers that medically underserved communities and marginalized populations face in accessing quality healthcare. The goals include promoting health equity by addressing financial barriers, improving accessibility to healthcare services (both physically and virtually), ensuring sufficient capacity of programs and services to meet demand, and improving the acceptability of care by making it community-centered, linguistically appropriate, and culturally competent.
