To protect and improve human health, the environment, and energy resources
The Small Town Grant Program, part of the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF), is designed to provide matching grants to municipalities with a population of 10,000 or less for wastewater treatment facilities and sanitary sewer collection systems. With an aim to make costly projects more manageable for smaller municipalities, the program offers grant funding in conjunction with CWSRF loans. Since its initiation, it has allocated $10.1 million towards such projects, benefiting from legislative amendments that expanded eligibility to more communities and increased the fund's revenue allocation capabilities from CWSRF loan fees.
