To help sustain a high quality of life for all citizens by protecting and restoring the environment and public health in New Hampshire.
The Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) aims to offer low-cost financial assistance for a wide range of water quality improvement projects. These projects may include wastewater infrastructure improvements like collection systems, pumping stations, and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as water pollution control projects such as nonpoint source pollution management, watershed protection or restoration, and estuary management. The grant program provides below-market loan rates, possibilities for loan forgiveness to make projects more affordable, and continuous staff assistance throughout the project. They emphasize the affordability and sustainability of water quality projects for New Hampshire communities. Funding recipients benefit from flexible repayment terms, minimal fees, and extensive support during project planning, design, environmental review, and construction phases. To apply, entities must participate in an annual pre-application process, leading to a prioritization and eventual funding authorization based on the project’s alignment with the program’s goals and the public's input on the Intended Use Plan (IUP).
