The Northland Foundation invests in people and communities to support a thriving Northeastern Minnesota.
The grant program focuses on supporting grassroots, Indigenous-led community building outside of formally organized groups. It provides up to $2,500 for Tribal citizens, descendants, or those with kinship ties to Indigenous communities in Northeast Minnesota. The grants aim to support projects that benefit Indigenous youth, enhance access to Indigenous languages, cultures, and spiritual practices, sustain Tribal sovereignty, and build the Indigenous economy, among others. Grants are awarded three times each year.
