SEMAC: Opportunity Grants

From Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council, Inc.

The mission of the Minnesota State Legislature in this context is to allocate funds to the State Arts Board and regional arts councils to support arts-related programming by nonprofit organizations and individual artists within Minnesota.

Type of Support

Overview

Opportunity Grants are designed to offer nominal assistance to nonprofit arts organizations and schools or educational institutions. These grants support sudden projects that present themselves with little advance notice, allowing recipients to seize unforeseen opportunities. A key feature of these grants is that they do not require matching funds, making them more accessible. Applications for Opportunity Grants must be submitted fifteen days prior to the intended start date of the project.
