The Unitarian Universalist Funding Program (UUFP) is a denominational grantmaking program of the Unitarian Universalist Association. Its mission is to promote the influence of Unitarian Universalist principles through grantmaking by supporting the work of social justice, strengthening Unitarian Universalist institutions, transforming gratitude for being into generosity of living, and making Unitarian Universalism more visible in the world.
The UUFP provides grants that broadly support social justice initiatives, strengthen Unitarian Universalist institutions, foster a culture of generosity, and increase the visibility of Unitarian Universalist values in the global community. Specifically, the Fund for UU Social Responsibility focuses on funding UU organizations within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico that engage Unitarian Universalists in service, advocacy, and community organizing to foster justice; connect UU communities with broader societal issues; and encourage a spirit and action of generosity among UU communities.
Preference is directed towards initiatives that are either new or in a phase of substantial expansion. We prioritize efforts aimed at fostering social and economic equality. Our interest lies in supporting projects that benefit from varied revenue streams, and we anticipate financial support from the individuals of the applying entity.
