At the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ecology Center, our mission is to support research, education, and community activities focused on ecology and environmental biology. We offer resources for multi-disciplinary research both within and outside of Louisiana, promote community involvement, raise social awareness about Louisiana's ecological diversity, and educate students at various levels through classes, projects, and hands-on studies.
The Graduate Student Research Grants program aims to support eligible graduate students conducting research associated with the Center's facilities or mission. These grants can cover research supplies or travel expenses, offering up to $250 per year for each student. This program is designed to foster academic research in ecology and environmental biology, aligning with the broader goals of advancing knowledge and promoting environmental stewardship.
