Overview

The grant announced is focused on the establishment or maintenance of Therapeutic Group Home (TGH) residential care facilities, which are required to cater to Unaccompanied Children (UC) with varying mental health and/or behavioral needs through structured clinical programs. These residential care providers must be state-licensed as therapeutic treatment facilities where they operate, and achieve accreditation by the Council on Accreditation (COA) or an equivalent body if they offer psychiatric treatment services. Furthermore, all funded entities must adhere to the Flores Settlement Agreement, relevant federal laws and regulations, and ORR policies and procedures.
