This program is dedicated to aiding eligible communities in preparing for or recovering from emergencies that compromise the availability of safe, reliable drinking water. It emphasizes the importance of having access to clean water in the wake of natural disasters such as droughts, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes or hurricanes, disease outbreaks, chemical spills, leaks, or seepages amongst others. Specifically, the program offers financial support for water transmission line projects and the construction of water sources or treatment facilities, aiming to prevent environmental damage and facilitate the access to vital water supplies. Moreover, it seeks to attract businesses to invest and expand in rural areas by ensuring the provision of essential water services.
