Overview

This program aims to support the development and maintenance of clean and reliable drinking water systems, as well as sanitary sewage, solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage facilities in eligible rural areas. The grant funds can be used for a broad range of activities including the acquisition, construction, or improvement of drinking water, sewage, solid waste, and storm water infrastructure. Additionally, the funds may cover legal and engineering fees, land acquisition, permits, equipment, start-up operations and maintenance, interest incurred during construction, and purchase of facilities to prevent service loss, among other necessary project completion costs.
