From Wawa Foundation

The Wawa Foundation is dedicated to extending its support from the local communities it serves to its broader regional footprint across the mid-Atlantic and Florida. The foundation focuses on funding organizations within its operational areas that address three key areas: Health, by saving and improving lives; Hunger, through leading hunger relief efforts; and Everyday Heroes, by supporting those making a difference daily.

Type of Support

Overview

The Wawa Foundation Financial Grants program is designed for registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations operating within Wawa’s six-state area. The foundation grants financial aid to initiatives that fall into one of its three focus areas: Health, Hunger, and Everyday Heroes. For Health, it supports life-saving research, care for those in need, and grants to pediatric hospitals. In addressing Hunger, it commits to leading hunger relief efforts, food donations to local pantries, and supporting Feeding America Food Banks to expand their reach. The Heroes focus area shows appreciation for military, veterans, first responders, and other local heroes, supports at-risk youth education and mentoring, and aids heroes through crisis response and volunteering. Grants over $2,500 are considered within submission windows in January, April, July, and October, with organizations receiving a response before the next submission period.
