Submission

Review Criteria

The Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation (WRF) will give preference to funding proposals that:

  1. Display a clear dedication to improving educational, economic, social, ethnic, and racial fairness.
  2. Outline definitive plans to challenge and transform the existing state of affairs, aiming to tackle the fundamental issues of unfairness and to abolish policies and practices that hinder equity.
  3. Highlight the importance of initiatives led by the communities they serve, emphasizing activism, public policy advocacy, novel approaches, and significant shifts in existing systems as methods for achieving change.
  4. Ensure that the individuals most affected by inequality have a central role in identifying its root causes and devising groundbreaking remedies.
  5. Adopt a holistic, two-generation (2Gen) tactic that focuses on generating opportunities for and addressing the needs of children and adults in their lives conjointly, thus supporting entire families.
  6. Advocate for the formation or enhancement of partnerships and alliances, acknowledging that the journey to equity cannot be undertaken in isolation by any single organization or sector.
  7. Embrace forward-thinking, strategic visions that encourage inventive solutions, aimed at fostering a brighter future for all Arkansas citizens.
  8. Commit to effectively tracking, evaluating, and reporting on the influence of the proposed changes, the methodologies employed, and the progress achieved towards the envisioned goals.
