Applications for grants to the organization must be in writing through 501(c)(3) organizations and public charities. Grants are only distributed to public charities, not to individuals.

The Lionheart Charitable Trust is intended to be a charitable private foundation under IRC Section 509. The Trustees will make grants to IRS recognized public charities to further the charitable, scientific, literary, religious and educational purposes of the Trust. Since the Lionheart Charitable Trust will not engage in direct charitable activities, it will make grants and distributions to other qualified charities operating programs which further the charitable purpose of the Trust.
