The mission of the Charlevoix County Community Foundation (C3F) is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Charlevoix County, both now and for future generations. It aims to support community improvements by accepting contributions of all sizes, making grants to various organizations, schools, and municipalities to foster positive changes within Charlevoix County.
The Youth Needs Cycle grant aims to support Charlevoix County Youth by inviting nonprofit partners to apply for project and program funding. The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) plays a pivotal role in prioritizing funding applications based on identified needs and merit. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, this cycle also offers general operating support to organizations focusing on youth. The funding priorities, identified through a triennial Youth Needs Assessment by the YAC surveying 8th-12th graders, include decreasing stigma and enhancing education around mental health, and promoting a sense of acceptance and reducing stress within school environments.
