Colorado Parks and Wildlife aims to advance and balance outdoor recreation with conservation efforts across the state of Colorado. They focus on collaboration and networking to support their mission.
The grant focuses on fostering collaborations under the Regional Partnerships Initiative (RPI) to ensure the thriving of Colorado's land, water, and wildlife while promoting equitable and quality outdoor recreation experiences. It supports new and existing coalitions at various development stages, offering two types of grants: Partnership Capacity Grants ($25,000-$150,000) to assist coalitions in convening diverse outdoor interests for conservation and sustainable recreation objectives, prioritizing areas lacking Regional Partnerships; and Plan Development Grants ($50,000-$250,000) to aid in completing regional conservation and recreation plans aligning with Colorado’s Outdoors Strategy. This initiative emphasizes including traditionally underrepresented communities in its planning and coalition-building efforts.
