Comis Foundation invests in organizations that provide opportunity and access to equip children with skills to explore, learn, and thrive in their chosen communities. Their mission is grounded in the belief that while talent may be evenly distributed among humanity, opportunity is not. The foundation aims to ensure every child has access to opportunities that allow them to succeed and thrive.
The Comis Foundation Grant focuses on two main areas: Pilot and Proof of Concept, with funding ranging from $5,000 to $25,000, and Capacity Building and Innovation, offering $25,000 up to $75,000 per year. Pilot and Proof of Concept grants support new programs within existing organizations, new organizations, or new approaches within current scopes, particularly those of smaller-scale research or data collection aimed at short-duration investigations. Capacity Building and Innovation grants are designed for organizational development activities like professional development, strategic planning, leadership development, and providing general operating support for innovative organizations. These grants prioritize creating opportunities for children to learn and thrive, recognizing such organizations as innovative. Multi-year grants and projects, especially those preceding the scaling of innovative programs, are considered under the Capacity Building and Innovation category.
