Overview

The grant program aims to establish quality education and learning opportunities for all ages, foster a strong and connected community, teach skills for success in life, college, vocational training, and career, promote health and wellness, provide broad access to arts, culture, and history, and help meet the basic needs of residents. It focuses on supporting programs and efforts within these categories that directly impact and improve the community's quality of life. Additionally, the Grays Harbor Community Foundation operates a Small Grants Program targeting organizations looking to make an immediate, smaller scale impact within these priority areas, including technology needs, shelter items, food purchases, educational supplies, small renovation projects, and capacity building, with a preference for organizations that plan to utilize the funds immediately or within a short timeframe.

  • Request must be $5,000 or less
  • Can only apply for one small grant per year
  • Requests must be approved by school district officials

Ineligibility

Groups ineligible to apply for a grant include: Organizations planning fundraisers
Organizations seeking to create or add to endowments
Organizations aiming to re-grant funds
Entities looking for deficit funding
Groups focusing on feasibility studies and strategic planning
Religious organizations not submitting community-wide benefit projects
up to 5k

Submission

Review Criteria

Priority is allocated to organizations that have not been recipients of Foundation grants in the recent past.

Similar grants
