The Greenwood County Community Foundation aims to enhance the quality of life in Greenwood by collaborating with individuals and organizations through funding and support to charitable entities within the county.

Type of Support

Overview

The Greenwood County Community Foundation's Community Impact Grants, particularly the Open Grants, support youth and education as well as community enhancement initiatives. Eligible applicants include organizations within Greenwood County that have not received a grant from GCCF in the current calendar year. Organizations that were unsuccessful in prior applications within the year may reapply. The Foundation limits awards to one grant per organization per calendar year, with grant amounts up to $5,000. They currently do not support multi-year grants, and expenses must not be incurred before the grant's start date.

Projects that duplicate existing services
Activities aimed at participating or intervening in political campaigns or attempting to influence legislation, not permissible under IRS rules for 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.
