The Group Foundation for Advancing Mental Health is committed to changing lives through therapeutic group work. It focuses on the advancement of the most effective and innovative approaches to group therapy education, training, research, and community outreach.
The Aaron Stein Memorial Fund Award is an annual accolade dedicated to the memory of Aaron Stein, a group psychotherapy pioneer and inspiring teacher. It aims to recognize organizations near the AGPA Annual Meeting location that apply group theory and techniques creatively to benefit the community, especially in non-psychotherapeutic contexts. An annual cash prize of $500 is awarded to support such initiatives.
