Type of Support

Overview

The grant program aims to enhance health care access, reduce health disparities, and foster thriving communities in South Florida, especially targeting uninsured, underserved, and low-income minority communities. Key focus areas include increasing routine and preventive medical care access, advancing collaborative systems for integrating social needs with healthcare, improving social and economic conditions for well-being, and addressing health disparities rooted in racial inequity. The foundation supports a variety of community-driven ideas that align with its mission and organizes events, like the Black Health Summit, to focus on specific health equity solutions. Grant proposals are reviewed by HFSF’s Board of Directors multiple times a year following a preliminary eligibility and project discussion.
