Each grant awarded is at least $100,000, contingent on the annual membership size, underlining the program's commitment to funding significant, impactful initiatives. Nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for grants under these five specific focus areas, with the expectation that any funded project must demonstrate a clear need for the full grant amount and articulate a compelling plan for its use in addressing critical community needs.

  • Registered with the Florida Division of Corporations
  • Registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, unless exempt
  • Projects must serve residents of Walton and Okaloosa counties
  • Projects must expend funds fully in Walton and Okaloosa counties
  • Projects can be a new program, an expansion of an existing program, or a new or expanded collaborative effort
  • Must have a total project budget for the full grant amount
  • Funds must be expended within 24 months of the October award date
  • Projects must fall into one of the five Focus Areas: Arts, Culture & History; Education; Environment, Recreation & Preservation; Family; Health & Wellness

Ineligibility

Organizations that have received an IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida grant within the past two years
Religious or politically affiliated organizations seeking funds for political or religious activities
Organizations requesting funds for general operating expenses or overhead
Organizations looking to fund debt reduction or operational deficits
Requests for grants to specific individuals
Requests for endowment or memorial funding
Requests for interim or bridge funding
Organizations engaged in partisan, legislative, or political activities
Fraternal, sectarian, and religious organizations seeking grants for the benefit of their members or adherents or for inherently religious activities
Private foundations
Organizations seeking funds for legal expenses
Requests for general construction or renovation unrelated to a specific project
Projects discriminating unlawfully based on age, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or religious belief
Fund drives or annual appeals
General capital campaigns or projects within such campaigns
Advertising expenses unrelated to a specific project
