The International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (IAMG) aims to promote international cooperation in the application and use of mathematics in geological research and technology. Mathematical Geosciences, the official journal of IAMG, focuses on the publication of high-quality interdisciplinary papers in geomathematics, pertaining to quantitative methods and studies of the Earth, its natural resources, and the environment. It serves as an essential reference for researchers and practitioners in geomathematics, developing and applying quantitative models to earth science and geo-engineering problems.
The Natural Resources Research (NRR) Student Awards aim to support early career scientists, namely postgraduate students (Masters or Doctoral candidates) or Post-Doctoral researchers, in the field of natural resources exploration and management with a budget of US$5,000 annually. Specifically, these awards encourage research within the quantitative realms of exploration, assessment, extraction, and utilization of a variety of natural resources. Eligible research projects must align with the aims and scope of the IAMG-sponsored journal Natural Resources Research, which focuses on quantitative studies for the exploration, evaluation, and exploitation of natural resources, including their environmental and risk-related aspects.
