The International Center for Responsible Gaming (ICRG) is a nonprofit organization committed to funding scientific research on gambling disorder. Since its inception in 1996, the ICRG has dedicated itself to the support of high-quality research proposals on this subject. Under the guidance of a Scientific Advisory Board comprised of leading independent scientists with expertise in addiction and related topics, the ICRG employs rigorous standards in its grant-making process to ensure the advancement of knowledge in the field of gambling disorder research.
The grant program focuses on the welfare of gambling industry employees who are regularly exposed to gambling, alcohol use, and smoking. It aims to fund research projects investigating the potential gambling-related harms and other health risks associated with working in both land-based and online gambling sectors. The grant supports these research endeavors by offering up to $172,500 for two-year Large Grants, highlighting a concern for the health and well-being of individuals working within the gambling industry.
