The Virtual Professional Development Award aims to support individuals at Region 3 Network Member institutions by funding opportunities to expand professional knowledge and experience, thereby improving health information access for healthcare providers and consumers. This includes attending remote seminars, conferences, and other educational opportunities in data science or health information access/delivery. The award seeks to build professional capacity aligned with NNLM's goals, focusing on training a skilled workforce, enhancing health literacy, and promoting health equity. Targeted areas for project ideas include professional development for NNLM members, activities supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and initiatives to better serve underserved or minority communities.
