The STEP Foundation aims to enhance the quality of life in Nemaha County by promoting philanthropy to create a lasting endowment. This endowment will address evolving community needs and support the development of cultural, economic, educational, health, and recreational opportunities.

Type of Support

Overview

The Nemaha County Grants program is focused on supporting local non-profits to improve living and working conditions in Nemaha County. The grants target a wide array of areas including Arts and Humanities, Basic Human Needs and Disaster Relief, Beautification, Community Development and Leadership, Education, Children and Youth, Elderly, Health Care and Mental Health, and Preservation and Conservation. Recipient organizations are required to complete the project before requesting payment, provide detailed reports on fund usage with invoices, share success stories with photos, and recognize the STEP Foundation’s contribution visibly at the project site. The Foundation also reserves the right to monitor the projects periodically.
