Overview

The "Promising Futures" grant program is designed to build promising futures by supporting an array of causes that include helping young people prosper, providing job training and placement, ensuring the fairness of educational and justice systems, alleviating hunger and homelessness, improving family and child welfare services, and advancing the practice of social work. Specifically, within its Focus Area of Jobs and Workforce Development, the program aims to offer more opportunities for New York City job seekers by developing employer-driven workforce partnerships and alliances, expanding educational and training opportunities, and improving industry hiring practices and conditions. Additionally, it focuses on creating a more effective workforce development system through partnerships and advocacy for fair wages, working conditions, and business practices, targeting individuals facing serious barriers to employment.
