Type of Support

Overview

The "Thriving Communities" grant program aims to support the development and sustenance of strong, inclusive communities by focusing on affordable housing, equity in the arts, civic engagement, and environmental protection. It backs agencies addressing these issues at local levels as well as broader government and nonprofit strategy development efforts. Specifically, the program supports citywide and local activities aimed at community development, offering grants for affordable housing preservation, job creation strategies, innovative community development tools, organizational capacity enhancement for community development entities, and the monitoring of community and economic development policies' impact on impoverished communities.
