Overview

The NV Energy Foundation's grant program is focused on funding significant programs or initiatives that create lasting, positive impacts within the communities it serves. The grants prioritize initiatives with measurable outcomes, high degrees of funding accountability, and projects that align closely with NV Energy’s business purposes. The foundation seeks to bolster relationships with 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and the broader community, encourage employee volunteer involvement, foster collaborations with other organizations or businesses, and enhance the foundation's visibility and recognition.

Priority is granted to projects serving diverse communities and advancing initiatives related to the environment (water conservation, renewable energy, wildfire/disaster mitigation, animal and wildlife conservation), education and youth development (K-12 literacy, STEM, trade education, youth leadership), safety and wellness (energy assistance, public safety, homelessness, hunger and food insecurity), economic development, higher education, health, arts and culture. Special attention is given to programs benefiting diverse groups including gender and gender identity, LGBTQ, disabilities, military veterans, varying ages, and various racial and ethnic communities.
