The Pendleton Foundation Trust aims to support civic and educational initiatives, improve educational and scientific research, enhance living conditions and recreation for all, and contribute to the mental, moral, and physical betterment of Pendleton's inhabitants, through private gifts and public taxation.
The grant program seeks to fund organizations that will promote civic, educational, or charitable projects to effectively support and enhance the well-being of the citizens of Pendleton. The Foundation's Board of Directors, comprising seven local citizens, encourages the community to submit ideas and requests for funding. They review submissions and decide on the allocation of funds biannually, in April and October, to organizations or agencies for significant projects using the trust's distributable income from the previous year.
