Overview

The grant program focuses on supporting environmental site assessment and remediation work on former industrial sites. It offers both grants and low-interest loans to fund Phase I, II, and III environmental assessments, along with the remediation of hazardous substances. Funding amounts can reach up to $200,000 for environmental assessments and up to $1 million for remediation efforts. The financial terms are favorable, featuring interest rates of 2%, repayment terms up to 5 years for assessments, and up to 15 years for remediation projects. Applicants for these grants and loans are required to provide a 25% match for their projects.
